This artwork portrays a vividly colored and highly textured depiction of an ancient tree with sprawling branches and roots. The tree trunk is a striking focal point, rendered in a spectrum of colors including shades of red, purple, and yellow. The bright colors turn this scene into something from a dream. The sinuous branches twist and spiral outward, creating a complex and dynamic structure. The ground around the tree is adorned with lush greenery and intricate foliage, painted with a variety of greens, yellows, and other vibrant hues. The use of color gives the scene an almost surreal, psychedelic quality. The overall composition is rich and detailed, capturing the organic forms and textures of the natural subject in a highly expressive and stylized manner.
The painting deals with a cacophony of similar shapes, applied with pure hues from squeeze bottles. From up close, the haphazard strokes are abstract and become more realistic from a distance, reminiscent of impressionism.
