Outside in my gardens, the camellia flowers have fallen underfoot to create an unique landscape. A cacophony of debris surrounding the flowers are, dead leaves, sprouting new grasses, weeds, and a slug nibbling a dandelion leaf. This chaotic mixture was the inspiration for an all-overpainting, where the canvas is covered from edge to edge and from corner to corner. Your eyes are invited to wander through the painting, to follow the lines, shapes, and values. Each area of the composition is given equal attention and significance. The colors were applied with dispensers in numerous layers.
